How tall could Somalis be internationally?

Somalis are naturally tall and I think I remember seeing a map of the 1800s and Somalis I think were the tallest, I could be wrong or misremembering but I was wondering let’s say Somalis back home and here receive all the Nutrition how tall would they be compared to other groups like the Dutch, Nilotic and so on?

I don’t think their Nilotic/Dutch level of height but they’re definitely up there on top 10 countries

War and famine stunts one’s height, I believe Somalis are tall people, we have the genes but height is like 80% genetics and about 20% diet and lifestyle, that’s why the diasporas on average are taller than the ones back home.

Same like average western non-nilotic blacks and whites height. I haven't ever met a girl below 5'3 so I believe the average height for Somali women is pretty tall compared to the uk average of 5'4

i know plenty, but Yh, I agree I still think we’re taller than other girls in the UK, just the wide variety I see in Somalis girls, in comparison to the boys is weird.

Is it illnesses that stunts growth vs nutrition. how do you explain gulf Somalis get all the nutrition but are still shorter than western Somalis, perhaps climate plays a role also.

Hygiene has nothing to do with height, by the way Somalis are hygienic people, we still have many tall folks in the sool,nugaal and hawd regions, those people still have the traditional Somali diet of caad iyo caano.

having good sleep is also part of the nutrition . if you have kids make sure you take their phone away hours before bed time.

I have a theory kids today have more worse sleep then millennials and earlier gen z kids. It’ll negatively affect their development in all areas including height

170 on the lower end, I would say 175(5’9) is the average but overall we’ve gotten shorter due to the civil war and famines.
