I am light skin with thin nose and soft silky hair. To make matters worse, my white stepmother used to gel my hair when I was a kid. People were convinced I was mixed race. Today at the age of 44, I try to undue her whitewashing of me.
I look pretty Somali, although I've been mistaken for Sudanese (North not South ) a few times.
I don't think that counts though, since there's a lot of overlap in terms of looks between the two groups anyways.
It's like a Pakistani saying they're mistaken for Bengali a few times, it's plausible.
