How prevelent are these thoughts amongst Somalis?

The questions was what is the ruling of someone who left Islam and Sh Shibli brought a hadith in which the prophet said apostates should be killed.

Now my question is how common are these thoughts amongst Somalis from back home or diaspora? I've seen alot of incidents of South Asians getting killed by their families while I have not heard of an apostate getting killed by Somalis.

I might be uninformed so let me know.

you can't change the religion when it suits you. It wouldn't be Islam if it was changed. That's what the Christians did to the bible. you could simply not implement this ruling as a law instead of advocating for people to commit takfir by changing Allah's religion.

Killing apostates is part of Islam, but it's supposed to be done by the government so we can't kill people in our family because they left Islam. Also, there is a hadith that says when a man apostated, the prophet(pbuh) gave him an option to just leave the country, I think that should be the law instead of killing them.

Well leaving Islam isn't the same as not being Muslim

Being Muslim is to worship allah and follow the deen Allah created which is Islam and if person leaves tht makes the person non Muslim

If you were never Muslim then thats not apostasy. If you were Muslim at some point but decided you want to leave the religion then that's apostasy. Apostasy is punishable

If you were never Muslim then thats not apostasy. If you were Muslim at some point but decided you want to leave the religion then that's apostasy. Apostasy is punishable
