How old is the Somali Language?

Study Sunt Tzu’s, ‘Art of War’.
I reckon its the same age as Old Arabic due to the relation between the two. Or, it could be older.

Whats the actual age of the somali language though? Does anyone know?

I see. Great observation. I suspect that somali probably became understandable like today probably ~2000 bc

I dont know honestly. We should’ve diversified from the cushitic proto group quite early around the antiquity era. We’ve got some old language i guess
I belive we did. Proto cushitic is the language we used when we in east africa where one people. So when we split, that's when somali and the other ethiopian ethnic groups started forming and speaking their new languges that evovled from the proto-cushitic language. Linguistics and genetics both support this.
