How much somali words are of italian origin?

We don't use most of these words in the north though.

Fargeeto for fork and jaalo for yellow ? Fiilo. Rajastiin???
 
How come Somalilanders and Ethiopian Somalis use many of these Italian origin words?
Maybe it was because Mogadishu before the chaos was the cultural hub and Italian loanwords might have been a sign of sophistication and class and may have become popular in other regions to elevate their social situation. It's is a wild guess, but an observation on the Somali mainstream culture pre-civil war, such as social trends would reveal if it were the case or not.

Bastolad = pistola(pistol)
Plus some football terminology is Italian like rigore=penalty, arbitro=referee.

That's definitely true.
Somalia was also de facto administer in Italian between 1960 and 1972 when the Somali script was developed.
During this 12 year period the government used mainly Italian , Arabic and English in official matters
