How much did you make last Year? How much of that did you save?

144K saxib and bad savings? As you said, you lost approx 66% to necessary stuff, where did the other money go? Unless Im not accounting for other expenditures, you should have ample amount of money saved right now.

Gaari: 35K, Fully paid
Left Over: Less than 20K
Grave and Burial savings for FaMily members just in case 5K.

We are Somalis, so there is always money to send too. I am hoping I have tons of Cash equivalent when I meet the Maker in exchange for my sins.

I have made a grand total of 0 dollars this past year. If I did make money and had some left over, I would first make an secret under ground tunneling system in the minnesota lime stone layer, Then I will have a humongous storage room for my gold bullion, I will employ the smartest technology. I will have a door, which cant be opened, as I have welded it shut and can only be grinded, I will then cover it with concrete and it will be fully undetectable.

I'm not sharing mine, there are a lot of people who are broke. Isha faqiirta ilaahay ha naga qabto.
In my opinion, you're more likely to get the evil eye from the guy who is slightly behind you in earnings than the poor person. The guy with a slightly worse car. The one who understands your social and economic vernacular but does not measure up in their minds.

Not the poor people. Poor people are usually miskeen and mind their business.

I think generally sharing wealth is in bad taste if it does not have very functional means. People have to carry social tact.

At the end of the day, who is really rich? There are people with less money than you and me who live richer lives, and who are better people. Money is necessary but it is a dumb person's reference for who they are. What you can't monetarily measure carries more depth. I say this as a guy who somewhat pursues wealth for my reasons. Getting more money doesn't make you more. Life is about cultivating and having balance. Being well-rounded is a worthwhile quality. Any person who solely maximizes wealth ends up regretting it when they realize how little they lived.

i think with my heart
they say is better to invest your money than to save... so ive spent all my money on my looks in order to secure a rich man.

I made USD 144,806 and some cents. 21% of that went to Uncle Sum as a tax. 20% Rent. 24% paid for a new SUV. My savings don't look that great. What about yours?
Who’s your tax man brother? There are lots of carve outs and exemptions you could be using?

also put some money in the stock market

Best of luck hun. Looks plus brains are even better, so don’t forget that technical, science or medical degree for the long run. Am sure you will age gracefully with your looks but still…. Education.

My younger relative who is CS major is into it. Poor guy breaks even most of the time or loses money on stocks. He makes 80k and pays 500 towards rental with the family, drives other people’s cars lol. He can save more money without the stocks. I have little trust in trading brother. Markets are unstable most of the year, big cheating and banks manipulating interest through feds, I hate the system.

My tax guy is Somali professional. Unfortunately, I can only squeeze out few credits and have to pay almost max amount in my bracket. I don’t mind paying taxes.

You’re brother is basically gambling, don’t ā€œtradeā€ or if you have to then put 90 percent in safe blue chips and trade with the 10 percent.

What do you do for living? Some of us are in college and just work part time, but would be nice if people said what was the occupation and what the skills require and how long they have been in that field and what is the salary.

That is what I was trying to tell the poor kid. It is also good that he learns his lesson by making mistakes as he matures.

I don't believe in Investments and putting money in somewhere unless it is business I own, or I put money in one that a relative runs. I have zero faith in Wall Street.
