It's useless to put Somali on your resumé even if Somalis were seen very positively. I always also to make sure my references are always white people, never Asian or Indian or anyone else since they have last names like Chong and Mandeep even though their first names may be Shawn or Johnathan.

Some government agencies have diversity quotas (either hidden or out in the open). When applying at those places it might be useful to add it. But the private market.. lol, nope.
