It is inherent that God gave you intellect (if you believe there is one), and it therefore using it to understand and comprehend God and even try to understand the wisdom of his words and judgement were foreseen by the creator himself. It would be as to say to a mammal that could swim do not get in the water!

I think most of our parents are not that knowledgeable about the religion due to the fact that they do not speak arabic or have been taught critical thinking or taught at all, and they resort to absolutist automatic respondes because it is simple and easy.

It also a defense mechanism for systems build on irrationality not to apply logic or reality as it would make the whole system crumble under its unresolved contradictions, inaccuracies and reality defying concepts.

this is why Somalis make me angry, if you can't question everything than no progress will be made. Islam needs modernization

Yes sometimes i wonder why the wicked were allowed to rule the earth when the hosts of the heavens knew they would spill blood and be ungrateful to him for all the blessings that had been bestowed on them. It's normal to question things especially in times of tribulation like the world is currently in now, since humans deal with affliction by trying to find answers and reasons for their suffering.

Both my parents are very religious but have always allowed me to discuss any doubts I have had about Islam with them. They encouraged me to think freely and they never judged me for it. We have had so many constructive talks and debates that I really enjoyed over the years. Alhamdullilah it helped me to appreciate and practice my religion more as I felt like I wasn’t being brainwashed like they do in other religions; I may have been born a Muslim, but thanks to my parents’ teachings, Islam felt more like a free choice

I also questioned it since it's halal. I was still a strong believer but I was told by these kuffars that Islam is racist, Islam accepts slavery and FGM is part of Islam and soon as I studied Islam and told some scholars what I have heard. They showed me evidence that Islam is anti-racist, anti-slavery and anti-FGM.

I have ngl like when I was younger and I think its natural when you are bombarded with anti islam propaganda but I never thought of leaving it because I always have this draw to islam because I don't see it as a set of "rules" and obligations that probably drives some people away . But islam in its essence is the worship of the creator without the spirituality your heart will harden like a rock. (That's why a lot of salafis burnout and sometimes apostate) and I was in awe of the greatness of Allah (swt) and that's something that doesn't really leave you. So I feel in my heart the great love for Him (swt) and no matter how bad I get it always remains and I am very grateful for that.

Sometimes just look up at the sky and ponder who created this beautiful scene. Everything from how the sun gives us light in the day, and how the night gives us rest, and the stars and the moon light up our path. At night go outside and pray out there maybe even or just look at the sky and praise Allah
