For me, I don’t see it as a goal but a part time job, journey and hobby. It’s the road to financial independence. It’s the path to freedom, mobility and self sufficiency. Every day I learn and make mistakes but I try to improve each month and year. I’ve been doing this since 2017 and have blown up my account to zero at least twice… but it’s the cost of admission/learning.
Youre only competing against yourself — your hopes, fears, doubt and uncertainty.
I agree it's a hobby. It's part of understanding the financial system, if I can make a little bit of money on the side then I'm fine with that. I don't truly think I will become rich by putting a few K in the stock market. It's an alternative to a savings account.
