Ahmed Abdullah Irro(MJ):

he was a SSDF hero. Siad Barre killed him, he was best friends with Abdullahi Yusuf, killed by the kacaan who were too scared of a MJ rebellion in the late 70s early 80s

“Irro received military instruction at the Egyptian Military Academy in Cairo, Egypt in 1961.[2][4]He graduated from the college with a Bachelor's degree in Military Sciences.[2] Irro subsequently returned to Somalia i where he worked in the office of the central command and the directorate of planning under [[Dauud]] , [[Siad Barre]], [[Mohamed Ali Samatar]] and [[Abdullah Mohamed Fadil] .[2]

Irro along with other left-leaning comrades was later admitted to the Frunze Military Academy in Moscow (Военнаяакадемия им М. В. Фрунзе), an elite Soviet institution reserved for the most qualified officers of the Warsaw Pact armies and their allies.[4] There, he specialized in Strategic Planning and wrote many articles on strategy, operations and contemporary warfare, with an emphasis on Proactive National Defense. Irro published several works in Arabic and Russian analysing conventional warfare in Africa, Asia and Latin America, but focused in particular on the various strategies employed during the Sino-Indian War of 1962 and the Indo-Pakistani conflicts of 1965 and 1971.[2] Irro eventually completed the rigorous staff-level training at Frunze, and later received the highest military doctoral degree (кандидат наук).”

Compare his qualifications to the trash we got today. :francis:

I really have no clue about their numbers, probably 50,000 across Puntland.

Interesting fact, their cousins are the inhabitants of Socotra Island off the coast of Bari which is inhabitted by meheri, carab salaax is the term referred to the meheris of Somalia

They are called Meheri Ismaciil, thats right cousins of Darood Ismaciil, most of them came to former majerteen sultanate regions due to trade, they are believed to have lived along side Somalis in northern Somalia (Harti lands) for many centuries, when people say Darood was arab, they are usually referring back to the Meheri Ismaciil people who also confirm this by confirming that they are brothers with Daroods, they are arabs who come from the Al- Mahra region in Northern Yemen, Southern Oman, they arrived in Somalia before Ahmed Gurrey fought abyssinia probably in the 12-14th centuries, they mostly arrived on the somali peninsula due to trade, but they didn't leave and became part of Somalis. First majority where in Bari, but they gradually settled further south, Nugaal and then Mudug (northern), now most live in Mudug.
