Yeah Muslims and Jews usually give money or get money in religious holidays. It’s more a Christian tradition to buy gifts and wrap them. It’s not a bad tradition by any means but bit unusual for Eid.

In my family, we do exchange gifts. It's been like that since I was born.

Had to pay the yearly 2.5% Zakat as well as the Eid al-Fitr Zakat whilst also buying gifts/giving money to younger relatives. They've bleed me dry
