The current Hindu Nationalist regime of BJP led by the current prime minister Modi have forgotten the well being of the economy and instead invested most of their time on intoxicating the mass Hindu populace with hatred for Muslims.
For the past Six months, India has passed successive anti Muslim legislations like the bifurcation of Kashmir into two union territories, Jammu & Kashmir AND ladakh (A new Buddhist dominated union territory), the parliament have also passed legislation that banned TRIPLE TALAQ (ridiculous), and Mid December they've passed controversial bill that offers citizenship to illegal immigrants from Muslim-majority Pakistan, Bangladesh or Afghanistan provided they belong to those countries’ non-Muslim minority groups (i.e., Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, Parsis and Christians).
This bills has particularly damaged Modi's reputation on the global stage, world leaders now see him as a Hindu bigot that hates Muslims.
The BJP would incite religious sentiments, cause division in the society rather than addressing the economic crisis the country is going through.
