How hard is it to be vegetarian in your household

Toriye

Sheekhaagu waa kuma?
It's tough to be vegetarian when your hooyo or whoever cooks for you thinks that meat is the best thing ever so they add it to every meal. I had to learn how to cook for myself for this reason, but what are your experiences, do you cook for yourself or do you only eat out?
Also, what do you think of being vegetarian, do you think it's healthier or more ethical but ultimately meat is too tasty to give up? I do it because meat is disgusting. Share your opinions below, please

I can't even speak Somali but I'm willing to shoot myself and take you down with me.

How can you have a traditional NOMAD profile pic symbolizing meat eating pastoralists yet be a vegetarian at the same time.

I will never ever give up meat. I love it too much to give it up. To the vegetarians reading this, you're missing out on life.

I was reading something about us humans eating vegetables and sparing all the cows to release their farts into the atmosphere iz a good thing for the environment but didn't make a lot of scientific sense to me

So yeah eat ur meats brother

I love meat and chicken too much to give it up. It’s better to incorporate lots of vegetables and fruit into your diet, and maybe reduce your meat intake, rather than just eliminating it all together. Eating a plant based diet is all the rage now, but honestly, it sounds like a gimmick/fad to me. Plus it costs alot more money to replace the proteins that you find in meat through eating other alternatives. Just eat your hilib ari.

Been there, done that
I'm with you on that brother, I remember my parents forcing me to try it as a kid and it always tasted so bland to me, the smell alone is what keeps me away
