I have also thought about this, i'm very confused on how to ban them.

They have a list of sites that they ban and regularly added to the list it's nothing to crazy. They most likely buy the list from a 3rd party site ,hence why all the major sites are blocked aswell as keywords. VPN's are harder to deal with just cause u knocked out a single server doesnt mean i don't have 70 more in my arsenal. In somalia i just used a vpn all day cause nearly everything was blocked and i wasnt even trying to watch

Countries can ban websites (through ISPs). It happens in China and some Middle Eastern countries.

Some Western countries banned The Pirate Bay. Websites can be banned by a country.
