I think we will regress instead of progress and the faster we technologically advance the faster the great regression will take place. Technology is what will stop progress.

AI automation/optimization -> production consistently at lowest cost and highest scale -> human labor obsolete = capitalist society no longer viable -> chill post-work communism (ditch the hammer and sickle)
