We seem to be in a situation where most people hardly think about the future of artificial intelligence, while the few who dedicate their attention to it find it plausible that one of the biggest transformations in humanity’s history is likely to happen within our lifetimes.

I'm just waiting for the voice thing. Gonna become a politician and say a lot of things. It'll be very fun to watch when people find a way to differentiate between the AI voice and mine and realize that all the fucked up controversial stuff is stuff I actually said while all the good stuff was said by the AI.

I say It’ll bring change to numerous industries, but the impact may not be as immediate as we think (computer vision started in the 60s but only with our current tech could we really utilize it). There’s going to be both positive and harmful things that come out of this. Harmful, because like all things this will be utilized be people to damage others (Deepfakes ruining your reputation). But positive because of areas like NLP forwarding medtech.
