How do you explain people from incredibly poor countries (like India) are also smart and succesful in the West?

Lebanese don't do uniquely well in the west (Australia is a good example) but Indians and Nigerians do.
Both of these countries have large populations and kinda good education systems,because compared to their populations the amount of migrants that can come to the west are minuscule only the very best and most educated can come to the west.
This is actually very terrible for India/Nigeria because instead of their smartest citizens figuring out how to solve India's problems they are solving Google's problems (CEO of google is Indian from India)

I'm sorry but this take is so stupid. Indians you see in the West are the ones wealthy and/or educated enough to be able to migrate. So of course they and their children will do well. Do you think a lowly Indian man with no money can just one up and leave? Even if he were to reach Europe, he'd be turned back because of his immigration status (India isn't war torn).

You can't and shouldn't compare people from war torn countries like Somalia, Afghanistan, etc to people from Nigeria, India, etc. One group of people are refugees due to conflict who migrated en masse, and the other group of people are upper-class citizens in their respective countries.

How ignorant do you even have to be to compare someone who fled for their life with NOTHING to a college educated individual with the means to settle anywhere in the world.

Selective migration obviously. Only cream of the crop leaves the country if its not a war zone, otherwise they'll be rejected if they don't meet qualification requirements, which drop when a country becomes a war zone and refugees need escaping
