How did you parents come to the West ?

My father was working in Saudi Arabia during the early 2000’s when Eritrea started to clamp down on people leaving and became closed off. Realising that if his contract was terminated in Saudi Arabia (who at the time weren’t keen on refugees from Africa) they would send him back to Eritrea, he asked to transfer to a UK office. Application was granted so my father, mother and older brother moved to the UK. 3 weeks later I was born. He never did end up getting fired but it was for the best.
