This is a meme, niyahow. Most muslims adopt the cadaan birth-rates within a couple of generations. Look it up.

The fobs just showed up. Reality hasn't hit them like a brick yet and they keep their kids in inhumane conditions due to jahilnimo. I ought to know. I'm related to some.well don't the "fobs" live under the same economics? that just illustrates it's the cadaan mindset and not the economics.

Waryaa, they keep like 8 kids in a two bedroom apartment and send some of them to school with holes in their shoes. That ain't no way to live.
Im indifferent, I hold back no one, I just watch as a silent spectator.Pessimists like you are what hold back progress.
Demoralization is one of the primary causes of failureThis guy thinks Somalia can replicate the Korean miracle![]()
Interesting that Syria TFR was very low pre civil war and skyrocketed afterThe birth rates at his company speak for themselves regardless of his opinions. And we can agree to disagree but I generally think all the social stuff people talk about isn't to blame here. The economic reasons are far more important. Not enough lacag, not enough time.
Liberals largely agree with you. They don't claim "feminism" is some sort of plague that ruined women's propensity toward being mothers but, in essence, they too believe that women's "emancipation" is partly why the birth rates have plummeted. I disagree. I really think it's mostly economic. Most people around my age in the Khaleej who are middle class can barely afford their own 1 bedroom place as a single. As a couple they'd have to be cream of the crop tech and media types to afford like 2-3 rooms in a decent ish area. Where is the leeway for ilmo?
Agriculture and fair politics should be the main focus for the next few decades, can’t be industrrialising if the population is suffering from droughts. Political reconciliation is slowlySomalia & African countries first need strong centralized states & development of a healthy agricultural sector before even attempting what East Asia did
You may not be considering the then geopolitical importance of S Korea aligned with the West vis-a-vis N Korea, which was aligned with the East (Soviet Union & China) with Vietnam being the theatre of war between US / European powers against soon-to-be Eastern alliance. S Korea greatly benefited from US / European industrial, and capital injection into its economy, of which intent was to protect US / European interest while keeping the East at bay, if engaging an active watch over the rise of China, Russia, and Vietnam further afield – an economic power, and the 3rd fastest growing economy in the world. On the same token, the same applies to Israel, the largest US military station in the world, only in existence to protect US / European interest in the Middle East, and to ensure the Arab world, and by extension the Muslim world, remains weak, if dependent upon the US / European auspices, if guardianship. If you ever get the chance, read the story of Chaim Weizmann, the pioneer, and founder of a charity organisation, in 1906 or thereabout, in Palestine only soon after to lay the foundation for Israel with the blessing of France ( the incubator), Britain (the financier), and US (the sponsor) thereafter.I only ask because maybe it's possible to replicate this in Somalia
Is it possible to have this same economic change take place in Somalia once security is reached?
Obviously I mean in the future when stability has reached Somalia. I even specifically mentioned that in the original post.I like the optimism but come on

Isn't Somalia's location also strategic cause of the red sea?You may not be considering the then geopolitical importance of S Korea aligned with the West vis-a-vis N Korea, which was aligned with the East (Soviet Union & China) with Vietnam being the theatre of war between US / European powers against soon-to-be Eastern alliance. Postscript:
It shall take time for Somalia to compete economically at that level, primarily ‘cos its human capital is rather negligible, if almost non-existent, with a rather smaller population, if footprint in influence. Educating the populace, creating skilled labour in vocational sectors, and investing in core industries including marine, livestock, and farming could potentially precipitate industrial, and economic growth, equity, and financial freedom. With those, I think there might be a chance for the Somalis to at least regain their stature, and thereby compete, perhaps 50 years from now, if we go by Malaysia's benchmark, and its economic growth model.
I digress, but you get the gist of it. I shall halt it there.
Lmao I remember when @NordicSomali said having an education and having ambition is a White trait.Pessimists like you are what hold back progress.
Some people think so. The question why are you acting white means that.Lmao I remember when @NordicSomali said having an education and having ambition is a White trait.![]()
I’m. It demoralizing anyone I’m just staying what I think will happen even though I hope the best for the country.Demoralization is one of the primary causes of failure
It is strategic straddling across the longest coast line from the Red sea to Indian ocean, which was the reason I mentioned developing, and exploiting marine resources.Isn't Somalia's location also strategic cause of the red sea?
People from poorer nations tend to produce more kids, because they see this as future investment.
I don't know if this is true, but I heard someone say that poor people have more kids cuz that's the only sport that they have for entertainmentif it's economic- how come people in rich countries aren't having kids while the poorest countries have the highest fertility rates? you have countries where people are starving having top fertility rates. no, I do not believe it is all about economics.
