Done covertly. The recruits and foot soldiers went to Ethiopia and then drove into SL, then came through into the mountains using mumins contacts and other IS operatives active in the region. Massive lapse in intelligence gathering and border control.
In an ideal world the security officials who let this happen under their watch should be put up on charges, but this is the crazy house after all…I doubt much will be done.PSF while hundreds walk into the mountains.
I lowkey never understood this either. A year or two before this campaign started people were saying its a only few dozen men in the mountain
But now its been 6 months since this campaign started and it sounds like they've killed hundreds of dasesh fighters yet its still not over ?
Somalia is the most corrupt country in the world. Figure it out. They have no loyalties other than their calool and jeeb. They clearly didn't go undetected and were allowed into lack of diversity MJ featuring yaryar land where even walalo Marehan or Ogaden resident would stand out. Many people in Somalia are also supportive of these terrorist groups.

Dacish doesn’t have the support of many Somalis. In fact people have fled Bosaso to escape their taxation and threats. They’ve been very bad for business in the area and are harsh, thus they are hated by most. All the scholars in Harti and the clans oppose Dacish, so I don’t know where you got that information from. You actually don’t need fthat many supporters to take over baadiya and mountainous areas. Shabab, you may argue, has some supporters amongst clans in the south.

They’re on the run and have been dodging patrols, there’s a small fanatical band remaining, they’ve been dealt serious blows and aren’t able to launch offensive attacks anymore. It’s going to transition into a round up phase soon.
Shabaab is really because of fear, I think if FGS really starts to beat Al Shabaab we could see all these clans suddenly turning on them
Global aid is down in general. I actually think the fact that PL used its own resources to fight an insurgency should be applauded. The FGS has received billions in support, that's the real mismanagement.
In the first year of its founding (2012) under HSM, 70% of the Government budget which was largely foreign aid went missing
