Somali women wearing hijabs only became more frequent after civil war and wahhabi influence. My mum has plenty of photos of her and her parents and her cousins and none of the girls had a hijab apart from her mother. She was a young adult at this time

You know what's funny? Nowhere in the Quran does it state that women need to have a dress code, I think I made a post on this a while back in a thread about hadiths.
