It's so sad seeing young Somali children, hot summer day 3-4 years old wearing khamaar abaaya and a jacket and playing in the park.

I've a daughter- what happened to kids being kids -playing with their hair, there is No where in the Quran to dress the kids in Hijab. Child cruelty - and the weather is 20c.

When hijab is a choice people choose to remove it! Otherwise Muslim parents wouldn’t need to put a hijab on their children so they are coerced into keeping it on when they are adults. Most hijabis wear a hijab because of social pressure and the stigma attached to not wearing one.

I wouldn’t do that either to my daughters. You can dress them modest without them wearing an abaaya + jacket. They need to be able to move freely and not feeling too hot due to their clothing while playing outside.

I agree, they should enjoy their youth and wear the hijab when they are old enough to appreciate it’s meaning.

We also have to understand that girls follow their mum so want to wear what their mum wears. That was the case with my sister and she used to cry if my mum told her to wait til she was older so she has wearing the hijab since like the age of 4. My mum did think it was too young but like I said girls follow their mum.

Somalis are insecure about their faith, this what happens when you adopt a foreign culture’s faith, you have to do the extras just to fit in.

I would want my unborn daughter to strictly adhere to the Islamic, modest dress code. I, on the other hand, would be completely different in my approach to their upbringings i.A.

Number 1: No female offspring of mine will abide within a Western apostate nation until she is old enough to accrue the funds necessary to Taxriib her ass out of Soomaaliya.

I have been to africa couple monthes ago

They bleach over there . So they have to cover them self up and cant exposed to the sun.

2 literlly everyone is wearing one, if you try to wear something else for example dirac, you stand out from the crowd And people will stare at you. There is no law in somalia thats says we have to cover our self up. unlike some other muslim countries, and even in those countries women will protest for freedom for dress code. Unlike naagaha somali who happy accepted it.

But thats in africa

lets talk about naagaha somalida in europe or murica. How they walking around looking like aisha ra or khadisha ra. Because you wont see that with other muslims women like afghanis or iranis sudanis or african muslim or even arabs hahah dress like that. Hell even saudis women run way from wearing that.
