Yeah there are plenty of mosques, why don't they invest this money into paving roads for example.

Sxb I don't think a mosque built by the turks will make moqdisho their "new backyard". A few other civilizations like the Persian trade merchants who have settled there in the 13th century have built a mosque in Mogadishu, that didn't change or influence the local culture.

The Turks already have influence in Xamar though, and of a different type then the Iranians
