I never had Falfaliir but I'm curious about it. There is Somali children Song about Falfaliir, and it goes like this:

I have never heard of any of those things. Why do Somali restaurants in the west not serve authentic Somali dishes? Show the menu of a restaurant to those in Somalia and no one will know what those are. If they do know what it is, like rice or pasta, it doesn't taste anything like Somalia rice. Somali restaurants in the west are like Chinese restaurants in the west that don't serve authentic Chinese food.

Somalis in the west have really integrated. Hehe. Sad times for Somali chauvinists. Even the food didn't last and Somalis have only been here for 40 years max.
