Honest, Direct, and Frank discussions leading to solutions is the best method even if what is being said 'hurts your feelings' or isn't socially acceptable. The nation is in turmoil and to dance around it with worrying about your social image, customs, or singing patriot songs while the nation is a damn sewage is un-wise. Abdillahi Yusuf method must be applied nation wide not the farmajo method of 'building up' hope when the nation shows their is no hope due to gaping hole in solutions. Hopefully our discussions can lead to generating hope when solutions are discussed.
I won't lie and many people know me here by now but I am the western version of Abdillahi Yusuf or similar to Farole family approach. Don't pay attention to the topic here but pay attention to the frankness(even if its true or not) as it hasn't been 'proven'. That's me once I set 'parameters' or 'shuruds' to discussions that lead to solutions, pointing my finger like ina farole.
I am not interested in a 5 year post or a single individual interest, were discussing a system that our people can co-exist and progress in peace with. This is beyond a single individual or personal interest, I focus on 'nidaam' 'structures and systems n state craft' not so much people but @Inquisitive_ made a valid point the social element if not addressed my erode the system itself so that's for another discussion following the same principle of honest/frank discussion leading to solutons and systems n structures.
The following solutions have been presented so far regarding our state
1. Centralism
2. Secession along colonial lines
3. Federalism
Centralism is inspired by colonial rule and bringing it to Somalia, it's foreign to our locals and was designed in the colonial interests only. It has inspired all our successive governments post independence to state collapse. Some want to 're-implement' it not demonstrating how we avoid another civil war over power or abuse of centralized power. Im suprised how people in somalia 'repeat' the past without adding progress or fine-tuning to anything, it explains why our society hasn't progressed before colonialism. Repeating the past without evolving to the future which requires constant 'updating' is a sure way of extinction.
Secession along colonial lines. Is our social system based on colonial identities, did it play a role in the civil war? how will it solve our civil war issues over power and while addressing our clan social system? If we fought over colonial identities I would entertain this. I would entertain this if it will lead to power n clan dynamics being addressed as they r fundamental drivers of the civil war, and I don't see this system will work
Clan Federalism - This can work becuz the social identity is clan, it addresses our state power dynamic by sharing it then killing each other over it. So it addresses power/clan dynamics. Can it be reformed of course or adapted but if it doesn't work along those clan/power parameters, it's futile becuz it's not addressing local dynamics, the colonial legacy of centralized rule, our state experience of centralized power, or the civil war.
I wish we learned the art of fine-tune/advance systems to our local issue, rather then copying foreign system that work for others but not for our locals or worse just copying the past and not adding an inch of progress.
