This guy called Nasr al busaidi, an Omani historian and journalist says in the video below: "Sometimes when I read Portuguese historical documents, I cry from frustration/ defeat, the amount of crimes they(the Portuguese) have committed against Omanis is not normal".

Also they have a big coastline to conduct trade compared to other daarood groups who are mainly inland herdsmen or agriculturalists

Didn’t the hobyo sultanate have skirmishes with the Omanis as well? I heard kenadiid had a rivalry with the Omani sultan in Zanzibar

I have more clansmen in Oman than Somalia.

yeah, my great-grandfather really hated ibadis and fought zanzibar at warsheikh ( that battle where the zanzibari governor had to crossdress to escape) so it’s ironic that it has come to pass that most of his family are Omani
