Hiran farmers’ profits hit by conflict in Somaliland

Tell them again, these idiots act like Ogaaden can stop and prevent cars/trucks from going through, Ethiopia will lock up any Og who tries, they are not Independent.

Ethiopia Called them for Talks and they all went running, View attachment 261033

Abi will lock up all their asses if they try something.
The scenario presented by them may be right, if Somaliland was solely depended on Ethiopia. However, this is not the case. In the trade relationship between Ethiopia and Somaliland, it is Ethiopia that benefits the most.

It is important to note that Somaliland is Ethiopia's largest export partner. Somaliland imports a wide range of products from Ethiopia, such as vegetables, fruits, and khat. As a result, Ethiopia receives a significant amount of foreign currency (dollars) from trading with Somaliland.

Therefore, it is unlikely that Addis would entertain protesters in Doollo if it meant losing a significant amount of revenue from its trade with Somaliland. The trade relationship between Ethiopia and Somaliland is mutually beneficial, and it is in Ethiopia's best interest to maintain this relationship.

There has been times where Vegetables were being sold expensively in hargeysa because of clashes between oromo and somali. If there’s ever any civil war trade will go over the roof until peace comes.

I understand your perspective, but I must point out that the scenario you propose would likely take no longer than a month, assuming Ogaden even decides to engage in such a conflict. In my opinion, it seems unlikely that Ogaden would risk fighting against the Ethiopian government and ultimately suffer defeat in order to support their Darood kin in Las Anod.

Oh but the khat will continue.. this is too lucrative for Ethiopia to stop as khat arrives by planes because of the profit margins, other commodities can’t be transported by air without huge costs.. Because they can’t be shipped by air neither can they travel by sea, the only entrance is either through Wajaale or through Djibouti.. Wajaale ain’t happening! This is an isaaq v darood war! And via Djibouti is also not very a viable option as it will be double taxed and the long journey will also add expenses which makes the product extremely pricey for what it’s worth.

Addis Ababa is no longer the beast it used to be and does not dictate to Jigjiga as in the past. Besides Ethiopia did give you a peace alternative by demanding to take your forces to your homelands and your president refused and made clear that he wants a war and your vice president seylici has repeated this today!

You are the agressor and Ethiopia has stepped aside and this war is now militarily between you as isaaq and us Harti with Ogaden economically sanctioning you through Wajaale!

How long will you last militarily?

how long will you last economically?

This guy is on Drugs if he Thinks Addis Ababa cant slap and order anyone fro Jigjigga to shut up, There is no power, If Ethiopia says keep the roads open No Ogadene dares to do other wise. OG's cant control Federal Roads in Ethiopia they dont have the Power or the independence to do shut things.

Gedi, qeybdiid and many other Hawiye were at the forefront of the invasion. If you’re going to label all daroods while men like madoobe and raskambooni were actually in xamar 80% of your mudulood clan except few guys like sharif were actually foot soldiers in killing those 50k Hawiye. Other than ceyr and murusade Hawiye were riding the balls of the Ethiopians mostly.
They were warlords kicked out by Hawiye we rejected them and the fact we stripped them of their wealth and kicked them out of the country is a testament to the sincerity of Hawiye masses.

Ethiopia brought the warlords it was funding for 16 years back to power and they used the hotel government led by AY to do it. These are facts you can't escape.

I suggest that you give it a try and observe the consequences.

From the South its Absame and from the East its Harti. The goods from Berbera have to pass through our lands, SL fucked up the day it decided to fight Reer Sool.

Kablalaxnimo is going strong rn.

Doesn’t matter if they were warlords or not they were Hawiye leaders and only military wing that represented Hawiye in all since the fall of the bare regime. Ethiopia funded usc and armed them whats the difference.

Thank you, Isaaq & Harti/Darood for disrupting the supply chain.

Farmers in Ethiopia, Oromo, Samaroon, Jaarso, Habar Awal, Geri(?) & Jidwaaq(?) will flood the markets in the North with their goods and replace that which comes from Southern Somalia.
No more Hiiraan produce :hahaidiot:@The Midlands

What makes you think Jidwaaq and Ogaden won't stop the flow of goods.

Jidwaaq, Ogaden and Geri will side with Hartis before anything.

you lot must all have half a brain if you think we will suffer being cut off from somalia...

when PL put a 500% tax on goods coming from Somaliland after they got angry just seeing SL products everywhere it was taken off after a few weeks as Inflation went even higher and people complained.

We still dominate economically

We got more options now with Garacad handling containers and Bosaso getting upgraded, this isn't 2018 anymore.

Sl lost two things here Oromo farmers will shoot their produce price over the roof with no control. Only thing that was keeping the waqooyi veggies/fruit price down was the southern produce acting as a rival against the oromo produce. Those truckloads bringing in produce were also taking consumer goods from sl big importers like oomaar back to koonfurta before coming back with produce.

Most of the merchants have moved to take agricultural products from Ethiopia. This is better
