Little girls should be given the choice whether to wear the hijab and copy their mothers and sisters or not wear it. By the time they reach 15, they would start wearing. I hate it when somalis (only a minority ) force their daughters to wear it whether its a matter of life of death
Sxb it’s a majority. I was forced as a kid and grew up hating it. I still wear it, but only because I’m too used to it covering my head that I can’t leave the house without it.
I'm not putting a hijab on my future daughter unless she wants to when she's of age. Hijab is a stupid hang up of our community when we still chew khat, practice fgm, and qabiil. We are only religious when it suits us, like restricting women's rights. Inshallah Somalis in the west and back home will return to our traditional African roots and abandon wahabism.
