Hidden palms tv series

I used to watch this tv series many years ago and I used to enjoy it a lot why was it cancelled ? I am the only one who has watched it ? Jonny from Seattle had moved out to this nice neighborhood in Palm Springs and was going to expose what had happened to the kid that used to live in the house before him. The people were beautiful, the surroundings were beautiful, nobody had real problems, it was the perfect escapism!
