Two utility helicopters were also delivered in February for the Navy
What navy? We don't have a navy. We have fishing boats that would've been considered low level transport for a regional coast guard detachment. We haven't had a real navy since the kacaan.

With the capabilities the Somali Air Force has direct control over (eleven helicopters of various types, TB2s & Akinci ), along with the support of US drones and intelligence, there’s no reason to run away from niggas in slippers.

If I’m being honest, that should be the case even without all this support, but we are where we are.

Italian/western product slapped with turkish name

turks are backward, even their drones literally have 99% western components

service ceiling is almost pathetic
  • Service ceiling: 4,572 m (15,000 ft), just buy an old ex soviet heli, much more cogent even with todays third world technology backward nations like turks

The TAI/AgustaWestland T129 ATAK is a twin-engine, tandem seat, multi-role, all-weather attack helicopter based on the Agusta A129 Mangusta platform. It was developed by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI)[1] in partnership with Leonardo S.p.A.[2] The helicopter is designed for armed reconnaissance and attack missions in hot and high environments and rough geography in both day and night condition

That’s what happens when on the ground forces are made up of tribal armies who want qaniimo for their clan wars and tiktokers who want to impress the chicks.

Those helicopters are all utility helicopters and the SNA doesn’t operate drones. They can request airstrikes but America has too many restriction and more importantly, SNA lacks effective(or any) reconnaissance. I think they even heard of it lol.

That said, SNA’s purchases so far have been very smart and tactical. light utility helicopters, and now arguably the best light attack helicopters. Next should be cheap reconnaissance and attack drones.
But none of it will matter if they don’t improve land reconnaissance, get batter at fortification military bases and overhaul their entire doctrine

You're right most of the helicopters are utility but if used correctly they can be very effective. (Med evact + limited close air support)

Six- (Bell 412) they're equipped with unguided rockets and a gunner.

2-5 TB2s under the full control of somali pilots

Akinci definitely in country, reliable reports say under the control of somalis

Add these new attack & utility helicopters, that's some good progress. There needs to be professionalisation in the ground forces to take the fight to AS.

I feel like somali politicians have accepted terrorist controlling vast areas of valuable land.

A liberated Middle Shabelle where it's people move freely amongst each other is a threat to Villa Somalia.

Lol. The govt has been using the helicopters donated by Italy as a private enterprise, renting them out for 5k-8k.

How so? I was under the impression that it was Harti that is trying to derail HSM's train and make us hop on the Sharif one.

Wallahi Somalia can only be described as a scene out of mad Max movie in a global world wondering how a nation has failed for 35 years after the ww2 world order

There were multiples of these ships in the service of the Somali navy during the kacaan and our navy was very much equal in comparison to our neighbours like Kenya and Yemen so I'd say we had a real navy by east African standards.

They had 2 missile boats & 6 torpedo boats for the longest coastline in Africa in the 80s.That isn’t a navy, sounds like a Mogadishu coastal guard :dead:
Compared to other African countries of our size and those on the region it was clearly enought considering we didn't have people dumping nuclear waste of stealing our maritime resources. What should we compare to it to? You have a lot of gall trying to tell us what a navy is when Somaliland coast guard is made up of dinghys and broke fishermen armed with small arms.

Gedo boy. There was no effective navy contrary to your retarded claim whether African shitholes at the time had a strong navy’s isn’t relevant to the discussion.

Nor is comparing it to other Somaliland who doesn’t claim to have a navy anyways nor did I claim SL today had a navy. You made a claim and got your ass handed to you about these 6 boats supposedly defended 3000 km of coastline and 830,000 sq KM EEZ. As for gall, Today you are occupied by Ethiopians & Kenyans in Gedo and you have the nerve to even speak. Free Palestine & Free Gedo.

But was the territorial integrity of Somalia's EEZ ever threatened? If so don't you think the navy did a good job protecting it.

I expected as much from you, SNM orphans go batshit crazy whenever Kacaan is mentioned must be a genetic reflex. Speaking of genetic reflexes it also might be another on to bend over for Ethiopia to give it you guys. How is the MOU on the maritime agreement working out? Or your liberation jabhad? What was it super suuber awal army or whatever. Gumeeysi from your own clan that's shocking
