A curse and a blessing, I'm surprised Somalis never developed a martial art of some kind, I know wrestling was important but many of skills for swordmanship have disappeared since it wasn't written down.
There was one but it was only in xamar it was called istunka? It wasn't a martial arts but more like traditional fighting matches.
NGL looks badass, I can see why our ancestors used spears, it was cheap, easily replaceable and had good reach, if they bypass that the short sword would come out.
