Help me understand the purpose of marriage in 2021

Back in the days, people get married so they can reproduce for survival reasons and men had nothing in their life but farm all day and being conscripted to fight in endless wars so sex with their wife in a highly conservative society was the only thing they could do to get out of boredom in their spare time.

Nowadays, we live in the most peaceful generation. We have homes, affordable technologies, cars and unlimited hobbies everywhere to enjoy. Men and women can also go out freely and do whatever they want without facing any repercussion and there will also be human artificial intelligence who will replace women in our homes to satisfy our pleasure and do the chores.

You won't be enjoying most of them in regular basis if you get married, most of your income will be gone every week/fortnight, most people are only married by name later in life and you have a higher chance of getting divorced in this day and age so why risk and sacrifice your life for this?

It's cute to have a wedding.
You have your friends, brothers of the Good Ol' student apartment period when you were just pebbles. With that in mind, your family, grandparents, parents and all of your relatives are present, for your happiness. It's one of the most memorable times of your life, after your birthday and your first time with a girl/a boy.
Why is it that people obsess over marriages?
Because it's sacred. Even to a forever gaal like myself, it's fancy, catchy to celebrate your happiness with others, inside of a holy temple. Could be a Mosque or a Church, it doesn't matter.
Also, your wife's dream is to be a princess, well, she deserves it. After all, who else could endure your farts during long nights and your bad odor (besides her, your mom maybe but incest is illegal!)

See things more of the emotional charge of it. A marriage in a governmental building is boring. I have been there. People just sign and leave. The real thing starts at home, with your people, and night's life is way memorable than some papers to put your name on it.

I might never get married, as I'm mentally unstable and my lifespan will be shortened (unhealthy habits), but I do see why people are impatient when they envision wedding ceremonies.

Stay positive, you will find your Halimo of your wildest dreams!

Many reasons: Companionship, stable environment for raising kids, completing half your deen as muslims etc. A lot of users on spot are very pessimistic when it comes to marriage.

companionship, love, teamwork, completing half your deen , fulfilling your sexual desires, having kids, having a home ect(theres many benefits to marriage)

The human need for companionship, love, family and children will always be there.

I'm not digging at you, as a lot of people think and feel the way you do. However, your mindset is due to people's obsession with social media and their inability to form connections outside of it. Its a scary time to be alive.

All in all, humans are social creatures. We want to laugh with others, share our stories, be in love and raise kids. Its just sad that technology is making people anti- social.
