I’ve noticed Somalis tend to fit into a certain demographic in the West.

We have the xalimo who is starving for an identity trying to simultaneously learn Arabic and Korean, tells people she’s East -African when they ask and is longing to get married so she can stop caring for her 7 siblings.

By the end of this thread we should have covered everyone.

@Slickback im gonna need your help with the hood rats since you’re familiar with those circles

@cinina @Reclesstuga
@Reiko @Kingjames @Cognitivedissonance @Hades everyone else, help a girl out!

There’s the ones who are proud farax and xalimo Who elevate their deen and culture who wear it as a badge of honour to the point where the ajnabi friends start picking up on Somali words like out here in the uk many Somali words are used as slang words in rap tracks like cuunto, askar, bashaal, waas...

I have nothing nice to say so no comment. I’m just here for the faarax bashing. :)
Come thru for me pls peoplez

I will not snitch on my brethren from the ends, nor will I go into the UK twitter xalimo archetype which has been beaten to death. Also I am not a hood rat, I only associate with a handful since I've been out.

There is a newly emerging group, with first sightings circa 2018.

We have Samira, born and raised in the West. Her parents are reasonably in touch with Somalia and the culture, but do not suffer from delusions of grandeur. Therefore, they never imposed Somalinimo and their dreams for the motherland on her. They never sent her back for dhaqan celis and allowed her free reign to do as she pleases without blatantly disrespecting them to their face. Samira noticed early on that she lived in a racially polarized society and mistakenly aligned herself with African American girls. Deep down she knew she was different... she had a skinny-phatty and dark skin ;), even wore a Brazilian weave for while!! Still, something was different. By the time she realised, she had already unwittingly succumbed to their racial passive (dark arts). She campaigned for BLM and staunchly advocated for pan-Africanism until the most recent wave of West-African/Congoid supremacy ousted her. She has since received 6 proposals from broke, square-headed Nigerian guys, she fears she will cave soon instead of holding out for a billionaire Nigerian with slightly rounder head. She has since discovered Somalinimo (2015), caraweelo (changed her twitter @) and is unconditionally pro #Somali girl. Now she heroically combats evil, misgynoir and ashy abdis over the internet masquerading as a man (even though her posts reek of estrogen & shea butter). She is also potentially suppressing latent bisexual feelings (dominant).

what do u think @Knowles :ohdamn:

Also why is the self-hating Faarax never discussed? Perhaps it's because they are very proficient at hiding from Somalis. Sometimes, their own hooyo doesn't even know where they live.

You are going to hell.

But I will add Samira the SJW warrior who is highly opinionated online, studies gender science at SOAS university and is an expert on all the ‘isms’ to the classic Western Somali archetype.

I can tolerate almost every sub-culture including the qabiilst and the tuug, but sjw begs rub me the wrong way.

"We is coming for your kangz" naclutullahi calayk that is forever ingrained in my psyche.

Omg bashing on SOAS was unnecessary :chrisfreshhah:
Apart from that terrifyingly accurate :manny:
