She was asked about the Sudanese's gov complaint against the UAE involvement, and she repsoneded with:
She responded by saying, "The regime complained, not the people. The Muslim Brotherhood regime, which the UAE opposes, is the one complaining. We aren't interfering in Sudan; we're only protecting our interests and investments there, which amount to billions of dollars. We aren't leaving that.

This response made many Egyptians in the replies alarmed. They see how the UAE is heavily invested in their country and saw what the UAE did to Sudan by arming and funding the RSF under the guise of protecting its interests. Now, they fear that the same could happen to them.

Why does the UAE have a stake in ANYTHING? That small desert country with some oil thats going to run out. Heard these guys were going to steal socotra too. It would make a lot more sense if it was saudi but UAE?

Didn't the UAE buy a piece of Egypt's coastal lands about 180 million square meters to build a new city ras al hekma. Egypt will only own about 20% of the city. The rest will be owned by the UAE :silanyolaugh: Egyptians are right to be concerned

Yes, but what they are doing in Sudan could be also done in Somalia, and to lesser extend Egypt. Egypt finance the army, and Jubbaland and Puntland forces. At any moment, these two regions forces could become RSF somali version.

She’s basically admitted her countries support for RSF militias

That’s what I’m worried about most. May Allah protect us from that. FGS needs to see the writing on the wall and get on the same page with FMS as soon as possible to try to prevent foreign interests from further wedging themselves between the levels of gov and enflaming any tribal tensions.
