According to the Somali Minister of Transport, the necessary legislation for the company is ready, while the important knowledge transfer to operate and maintain a fleet of planes is ongoing.

Somali Airlines was popularly known as the White Star Service, flying to and from major destinations in Europe, Asia, America and Africa. It was the first African carrier to have its pilots and ground crew entirely staffed by the country’s own nationals and maintained a working partnership with Lufthansa.

The Somali government plans for a joint-venture with the Somali business community and is looking to establish a new aviation hub for the Somali capital of Mogadishu, while expanding the current Aden Adde International Airport.

The Turkish Airlines has pledged for Somalia Federal Government to train new pilots who will be recruited for the revival of Somalia airlines. The Turkish government also promised to give refreshment training to former Somalia airline pilots. The projects will also offer training to air hostess. The training will last for two years. This was disclosed by Aden Adde airport manager, Captain Aidarus Ali Kahiye. The newly trained Somali pilots will be drawn from all Somali regions. This comes as part of efforts spearheaded by the ministry of transport & civil aviation of Somalia which embarked in concerted attempts to put the Somali airline back to the sky.

this article came out in 2019.

They are so incompetent they shouldn't even revive it. A crash or something like that would damage the brand forever especially given how Somalia is in this condition.
