Ecause Barre wanted more than 50% in Somali government and rest for oil company while the company rejected to accept 49% , Barre wanted us to live like those gulf countries not like shell is doing to Nigeria.

The soldiers Ethiopia mobilized where boys that were collected from the villages. They wouldn't have made a difference in the war unless the war dragged on and Soviet support continued. The reason Somalia lost was because of the air superiority Ethiopia established. It was too difficult to supply the front and the Somali army was under constant threat of aerial bombing. Barre pulled out because the Ethiopian army was being trained too quickly and being well supplied, and because staying longer would assure the destruction of his army allowing for the Ethiopians to invade Somalia in the future. We lost because of the Soviets and our lack of alliances, the Ethiopians were pathetic really. Even the Soviets said the Ethiopians were pathetic when they started helping the Ethiopian effort. Somali took the Ogaden like it was nothing and were advancing to Harar.

Yea we were only able to prove the Cubans soldiers and the Soviet advisors.
