They're not their children. Any time a man or woman marries or moves in with an individual that isn't their child's parent, heck in many cases even if they are the child's bio parent it doesn't stop abuse; physical, molestation or otherwise. Be well aware of what your kid is going through. You are responsible for them.

People are so naive. You have to vet people thoroughly. Some of them even specifically enter relationships with people who have children for the chance, bc they take joy in it.

You would think this is obvious but ffs. I have a so many friends that have gone through so much bullshit from their step-mothers.

I've seen it both ways. A lot of times it even extends to the children of each parent doing unthinkable things to the others, like inter child relations are hostile or they don't see themselves as siblings.
