Have you ever been confused for a different ethnicity? If so, what ethnicity were you mistaken for?

So many people ITT deadass humble bragging about looking Indian as if that's something to be proud of :deadrose:

I lied about my skin-tone being midnight, but I am thankfully 6'5

I used to get mistaken for Habesha as a kid all the time. The local Somali Habyar’s who knew my mum used to think my dad was Xabashi and all the local Xabashis used to think I was one of them, I even picked up some of their language since they would speak to me in it and expect me to understand their chu chu bet aram gibberish.

Over the years I grew out of it. I still get mistaken for Ethio/Eri by even Somalis but not nearly as much alhamdullilah

By somalis - Sudanese, Ethiopian, Eritrean, Arab
By Arabs- Egyptian, Khaleeji, Moroccan,
By Americans who have never seen a Somali- Indian, Dominican

I look like this guy but 40 years younger
