Have any of you guys ever lived in ny?

I grew up in New York until I was 9 specifically queens and Brooklyn. Lived in Brooklyn until five, lived in queens until I was 8 and at 9 we moved to Maryland. The last stop was seattle which I reside in now. Please do not say you lived in upstate New York, that’s literally Canada. But upstate does have a lot of barawanis and Bantus they even have their own gangs.

My parents lived in Brooklyn briefly and had me there before going to Canada, they moved when I was very young so I don't remember what it was like. I wish they had stayed so I could have grown up in one of the top cities of the world instead of boring and cold Canada. I always let people know I was born in NYC

You know anything about the diaspora over in the state(Buffalo, Rochester, and etc.), not the city because you could probably count the families with your hands.

It’s not 2010 anymore theres are thousands of Somalis in NYC. I know Somali Ivey league students, Somali investment bankers, and there are tons of taxi drivers and bus drivers there too.

You even got bums who live off there rich parents and just smoke weed all day I know a few personally. But there is no community in nyc. They can easily go to Minneapolis if they want that.

There's virtually no Somalis in NYC apart from few taxi drivers, business owners and models that moved to nyc strictly for work but if we are talking about a community than they don't exist which is a shame because is one of the biggest cities in the world with so much opportunity but instead Somalis being worldwide bums, lazy and welfare addicts they all follow each other to states where right to work is a myth. aka cold Midwestern states like Minnesota.
