Technically nothing has happened as of yet and I wouldn’t be optimistic about these talks. Donald trump wants to end the war asap but putin would never go for that unless he completes his military objectives, he can’t justify losing hundreds of thousands of troops and economic hardship with a humiliating peace treaty. It would cause another Russian revolution so I wouldn’t say he gets shi done he’s just confirming that they’ve agreed to “start negotiating” but negotiations can take months/years which trump isn’t fond of, so we’ll see how this plays out. But ultimately it seems likely that trump will leverage military aid to force concessions from Russia and Ukraine. Pivot too much on either side however and it’s not happening, Zelenskyy doesn’t really have bargaining power so he might jus have to trade land for peace and defence guarantees but this would also be highly unpopular. All I know is someone is walking out of this deal unhappy and if it’s Russia, the war will become a lot more intense and dangerous

Vladimir Putin is so foolish this war with Ukraine is bankrupting his already weak economy and many economists have predicted he will run out of money by years end if he negotiated with Trump even if he gets a small bit of Ukraine it will be seen as the biggest humiliation for his country since the collapse of the Soviet Union


Trump has all the power he will make Ukraine a satellite state of America this war shows how far Russia has fallen since the 60s the country of Ukraine is flat and filled with farmland literally nothing is easier to invade

We could see this war ending very soon. It's just a matter of pressuring Zelensky now.
