Naah although that’s what I thought it would have been because of. Reason being Mursade make up a huge number of AS. But the actual reason was because once they entered wabxo, they were surrounded by GM shabaab from all directions other than the south so they retreated down south back to hiraan and said they would wait for Abgaal to finish S/dhexe so they can simultaneously attack GM from different fronts to ease off pressure from one another

No. the issue is not like that. even the clans who dominate politically have been affected by their repression and fear of them because there was a widespread belief that the government is not serious and that the army will withdraw at the end. there is a scared group and a group that supports them from the minorities. beesha dhexe Hiiraan broke this taboo. why Shabaab are strong in Xamar when it's dominated big hawiye clans? for fear. they had real bases and checkpoints in the outskirts of Xamar all the cars will go to them to pay taxes, every car's number is registered by them, all the merchants go to them, they had courts now and all these bases were removed. Hassan Sheikh has waged against them a total war: economic war, faith war and military war. so now as big clans are getting freed let us say top 3 the smaller ones live among them either they will be isolated like Galgalo or they will free themselves if they get help because as Shabaab have no other resources they will be their next target and steal their livestock. i think between Shabelle and indian Indian Ocean will be free of them the smaller clans in this area cannot host them but there maybe isolated pockets not districts though.
