I reside in Somalia and haven't personally witnessed widespread starvation. It seems like this individual aims to profit by exaggerating starvation claims, it's obviously linked to his corrupt practices

it’s held by AS because Somalia doesn’t prioritize farming, the people in the refugee camps and uninhabited lands are there because the government of Somalia imported “free food” and undercut local farmers from the economy. They didn’t protect them because of qabilism, and now those same farmers are gone.

the reason they ask for food, is the same reason they need food. They are so backwards it’s disgusting.

Even if they get farming equipment, and hire millions of farmers, the clan warlords making money from reselling food aid will probably start funding AS to get a return on their “investments”. There needs to be actual policy.
