Has the Taliban failed?

If Taliban cannot protect people from suicide bombers then what the point of the taliban? why would people follow taliban rules if the bombing still continues? i thought the silver lining to this whole thing was yes taliban will have intrusive and barbaric rules but at least the bombing will stop and as long as you follow their rules Afghanistan is suppose to be safe.

in afghanistan i can see 2 things happening

• Suicide Bombing will continue and the people will rise up against the taliban because the only one thing which was suppose to be their selling point is finished
• a new more deadly version will arrive i.e ISIS

all in all the poor people in Afghanistan will suffer more.

They just took over and hostile west/neigbors haven’t disappeared. They need to eradicate ISIS and make sure no foreign terrorist group operates within their borders. Also sort out the langaabs uzbeks and Tajiks who get used by outside powers.

A bunch of herders weren’t ever going to succeed. Afghanistan is going to turn into a hellhole for anyone living there, especially women.

They even now have ISIS-K claiming Taliban is too moderate.

Islamic State is not succeeding in destabilizing Afghanistan because the only force that is actively fighting IS-K is the Taliban. This forces the minorities being attacked by IS-K to cooperate with the Taliban as there is no one else. Since the Taliban have shown a genuine interest in protecting Hazara and liberal Afghans from IS-K attacks, the terrorism will just force Hazara and liberals into cooperating with the Taliban rather than pursuing the active resistance that they originally wanted to pursue.

Now that America and the west are gone, there are no financial resources available to fund IS-K anyways, so they won't be getting any more bags of money and crates of weapons off the back of an AC-130 in the middle of the night.

ISKP do not have the capabilities to attack the Taliban face on it is why they are attacking soft targets like Mosques,schools hospitals etc. to make it to the headlines. If ISKP and Taliban fought on the same Battlefield ISKP will be decimated 100 percent. Their agenda as of now is to destabilize Afghanistan and delegitimizate the Taliban.

ISKP of Afghanistan = Shabaab of Somalia they both attack innocent people and both are greedy for power. They only differ in loyalty IS/AQ…!!!

This Taliban regime will not last even 12 months. Most of the diaspora Afghans in America, Australia and Canada are anti-Taliban and they will start funding political parties in Afghanistan who want to bring in a secular Afghanistan.

"Political parties"? The Taliban won't tolerate the formation of an opposition in any part of Afghanistan.

The Taliban will control Afghanistan for the foreseeable future.
