Basically the title, has anyone written a realistic vision on how Somalia can develop considering geography, resources, population, etc?

There has to be a niche Somalia can fill, Bangladesh had textiles, Malaysia electronics, etc.

I'm in the process of publishing a document titled: The Political Economy of Soomaaliya: Making Soomaaliya Greater Again.

- The introductory (Muqaddimah): Esprit de corps - The convulted yet mandatory topic of clans & lineage, the heart & soul of Somalinimo. To navigate anything to do with Somalia, there needs to be a better understanding, especially diaspora, how much of a safety net and incessantly embedded clan is into Somali life, trying to remove clans from Somalia is like trying to remove individualism from Western society, it is impossible to do given it is how the society thinks, feels and interacts. Ibn Khaldun's Asabiyyah is a great introductory understanding of this and also studies into clan support systems that work and effective for e.g. Somali entreprenuership success stories across East Africa. To understand Somalinimo well leads to understanding what the Somali prefers as a job (he is nomadic by nature thus prefers solo jobs - hence truck drivers, Uber, security, jobs in the West), their ultimate job is always entreprenuerial. Therefore to maximise the Somali economy, one would have to maximise Somali's entreprenuerial spirit through Somalinimo (gathering funds through Somali groups and investing in business ideas).
- The main chapter is called: An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Death of a Nation: 1889-1991; A breakdown of all the causes of the demise of the natio-state.
- The conclusion: Reviving the Ruins of Qiblatain: This is where I outline my vision of Somalia and also it is the conclusion, it is essentially the white paper of what Somalia needs moving forward. Couple key aspects: Firstly, if it isn't already blindly obvious but there needs to be a move towards confederacy before federalism, federalism requires maturity (therefore 7-9 Mamuul Goboleed's that are run autonomously with a 50-year treaty agreement that we will come together after and incorporate Somali Galbeed and NFD - Somalia should never be a centralised state, too haughty to ever allow another clan, rightly or wrongly, to dominate over each other). Second would be the full utilisation of the coast. There are studies showing that coastal economy is more valuable and sustainable than resource-rich economy. An EEZ (Exclusive Economic Zone) needs to be determined and encourage coastal migration and development.

Dual Federalism or Balkanize. Never Centralism

Please make a post when you finish this document. This sounds like it will be very insightful. Many people want to copy and paste economic and political systems that work in other countries without considering the cultural differences
