Exactly. They think about their children's future. Unless he wants his children to begging for remittance, unfortunately its the only way unless the economy in somalia fixes up.

Unfortunately the typical Somali male has a body living in the west while his mind is occupied with Somalia. And he prioritises and spends too much energy on fixing his motherland instead of his wife and children. And so patriotic guys might eventually abandon their family. in fact, its typical for a guy to be absent for years from his wife and kids.

His kids will eventually pressure him to get them out of somalia. Tbh most of those Western Somalis raising their kids in somalia are uneducated themselves and don't place much emphasis on their kids education. Later on, they relocate their educationally disadvantage kids (during highschool ) to the west. And guess what, they end up becoming welfare recipients or low skilled workers as they don't have enough educational background to survive in college.

educated/well-minded somalis put their kids in private English schools in somalia (often costly) or raise their families in Egypt/turkey/maylasia and get them prepared for college.
