Wallahi our people are really 68 IQ this happens every year and no one thinks hey lets build a sewage system!

I feel bad for the people but doesn't this happen every year (same thing in Jowhar as well)? Why doesn't the local politicians do something about it?

It’s not like we care about these problems. We love the thrill of watching people cross these flooded areas. Why fix it when it’d cost money?

once for the whole year, the rest is just dry days. Building reservoirs and ways for these water is the best thing they could do

It happens every single year, would it not be prudent to have some preventitive measures?

C'mon, walaalkay. You're talking like sewage systems are something people can just randomly build on a whim if they want to. Needs lots of lacag and technical know-how.

It wont cost more than 10 million and can be maintained by a team of 30 paid ajnabi engineers imported from India until locals are trained. I am sure SL/Somalia govt can afford it but they dont want to.

Sewage systems are difficult to be build in a cities that have been build already , alot of man power and money is needed.
Is much easier to build the sewage system first befor building a city on top of it. Sewage systems are not guaranteed to prevent floods especially in a flood prone cities/towns.

did more research and alligators are only found in America, China and Mexico. There are Niles found in Somalia but not sure in Hargeisa. Still a massive risk.
