It was bound to happen now that Ethiopian flies to Garowe then to Bosaso and back to Addis 3x weekly. This fully saturates Puntland’s air transport needs. Hargeisa’s role as a hub is going away. The only people who will land in Hargeisa are those with business in Somaliland. Aside from flights to Mogadishu, I doubt that there is even sufficient demand to keep Somali cities connected with one another.

Ethiopian airlines began operating in PL after Q1 so it hasn’t effected the numbers yet, it will likely continue to decrease...

Everyday the same old bullcrap, listening to a Facebook post.

Not saying anything about how
Air Djibouti doesn't travel to PL no more.
When you go and book nothing comes up
It flies to Bosaso at least once a week. Air Djibouti flies under the name Taquan Air which it leases it's aircrafts from.

These numbers will drastically get worse in the coming months when other airplanes like Fly dubai and Air Arabia sign with Puntland. It's all over for the KHAT Addicts in Hargeisa.

Since Somali states operate like competing countries, we should make it official and ask to be split up.
No need for that but the federal states can compete economically. Now most Puntlanders will use their own airports to land instead of Hargeisa like in the past that will increase the revenue for Pland. I was surprised to have met many diaspora originally from Mogadishu here in UK who have never used Hargeisa airport due to direct flights to Mogadishu since 2012.

It is a very old tradition to compete with each other. That is one of the major reasons why the former sultanates and kingdoms could compete with other nations in order to flourish

Imagine all regions under one economy (when the dastuur is finalized) how strong it could be

Walle people don't learn the whole continent has that system and look where it brought them. We are going to be more than fine with a federal structure acknowledging the tribes and clans. And giving the people the opportunity to build their own states to perfection.
