Not really but the first "qax" I experienced was in 2003 major war between Muuse suudi and bashiir raage.
I qax-ed to baadiyo. In the morning, They used to serve us "jarjar", some cartilgenous mystery meat cooked in rice and water, since meat was unavailable. The food was not enough for all of us and there was No other meal until night, So, you have to eat beyond satiety with a bunch of adult dhuuni geeljire who were not kind to me for being a kid and would just devour the entire plate in a second. The jarjar chunks were too large and difficult to chew and the bariis was hot as hell
You didn't have time to chew it because the other guys Wey boobaayan cuntada. So, I was forced to swallow the large cartilage chunks wholly with the scalding rice. My insides burned for the 25 days of the qax. My eyes would water, my soft baby palms would burn - but I ate like my life depended on it. They hated me first but I got so many praise for my eating achievements from the other guys.
