Hadiths much like Quranic verses, still need further elaboration and consideration of the historical context they were recorded/revealed in.
Otherwise, there would be no need for Islamic scholars from the inception of the diin.

I'm not playing dumb. I'm exercising healthy caution as all Muslims should.
As for my local Imams at the masjid I go to, they would agree and disagree with each other on certain topics due to the different madhabs they choose to adhere to. That's normal difference of opinion, as long as it is within reasonable bounds.
I understand but this is a clear cut hadith, anyway we don't need to argue further if you trully believe there is nothing wrong with celebrating a holiday made up by kuffar.
Can you explain to me why it is wrong if there is nothing within the holiday or any innovation made by a non-Muslim that doesn't go against the deen?
I would understand if it were Christmas or Diwali because the origin and current meaning of those celebrations involve shirk, which automatically takes you out of the deen, but something like International Women's Day, Harmony Day, RUOK Day and other "celebrations" that are more like initiatives to spread awareness about current social issues, why are they wrong, specifically?
Literally nobody is celebrating it just a appreciation post I’ll make one on Father’s Day for Somali Fathers and men
because we are to follow the Qur'an and the Sunnah of the prophet peace be upon him; our religion is complete.
