Did a relative of yours recently took the test, i have a new relative, his from Awdal, paternal T-l208, maternal J1b and also he has 4.5% Ethiopian, 1.1% Southern Congolese and East African and 94.4% Somali. If he was not new, I would have suspected it's your result.

Thats my brother genetics is weird got 100% Somali but he shares 28% dna with my maternal grandmother whileI have 24%.

I matched with Amhara who is T-l208, he is 20% Somali but does not know how he has 20% somali. He could be related to Haile Selassie.

On my side he shows as my 2nd cousin in 23andMe. His in third place in my relative list after my cousins and he scored 20% Somali with T-l208 paternal Haplogroup. Something is not adding up, especially him claiming he lives far away from Somali region and only known himself as fully Amhara. Yes, my maternal haplogroup is ROa2.

It's off by 50 dollars, atm on FamilyTreeDNA it doesn't go down below 400 bucks, in the meantime, tell him if he can't find a cheaper one, I'm willing to pay half of it by December/Jan.

He can use this to calculate his ydna if he can download the raw file from 23andme.

I genuinely posted this for shits, it was reported a relative on his paternal side got T, I started digging around and finding more Habeshas around Harar getting T, and then got a few matches myself.

I could be wrong, but I believe there are evidence indicating we contributed to the spread of islam in Ethiopian regions like the Muslims Amhara, Gurage and etc. It makes sense when alot of Ethiopians from different regions are matching with Somalis but the vice versa is not true unless we mixed recently with them, strong evidence all the ancient sultanants such as Adal, Ajura and etc were majority somalis.

I don't know about the qabiil being completely fixed for the lineage but I am from Sanaag paternally with my paternal ayeeyo's hooyo being Gx and thus I get a lot of Gx matches on 23andme and have from the start. Must note that virtually all of them, in my experience, were T carriers.

How about this Gx that has E-v32 on 23andme, are you related to him?

First guy in the video is HY/Gx and he has E-v32. There are also two HJ's in this video and they both have haplogroup T, and the last guy in the video is HA and he has E-v32.
